About Anne
I hold a B.S. in Biology with certifications in Bioinformatics and teacher licensure in Texas and Virginia, and I have taught a wide range of courses—from 7th–12th grade math (including AP-level) to undergraduate biotechnology and STEM subjects. My background spans tutoring, academic coaching, and classroom teaching, as well as administrative leadership in education. This combination allows me to bring both deep subject knowledge and strong organizational skills to my students, helping them excel academically while also developing the study habits and confidence they need to succeed in high school, college, and beyond.

Learning should feel clear, motivating, and achievable. I combine my experience as a tutor, academic coach, and administrator to support students not only in mastering math, science, and test preparation, but also in building the skills, habits, and confidence they need to thrive long-term.
Teaching Method & Techniques
My approach is highly personalized. I start by identifying each student’s goals, strengths, and challenges, then design lessons that fit their learning style. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, use real-world examples, and guide students through active problem-solving. In addition, I integrate coaching strategies such as goal-setting, organization, and time management to help students succeed beyond the classroom.
Typical Lesson Plan
Check-in: review of goals, progress, or upcoming deadlines/exams
Warm-up: quick problems or questions to reinforce prior knowledge
Core Learning: targeted instruction in math, science, or test prep strategies with clear explanations and guided practice
Application: independent problem-solving, practice questions, or exam-style exercises with immediate feedback
Wrap-up: summary of key concepts, strategies for study, and an action plan before the next session
