About Polina
I hold a degree in Applied Mathematics and have several years of professional experience in Data Science and programming. My background has given me a strong foundation in mathematics as well as experience solving complex problems in a structured and logical way.
I enjoy explaining mathematical ideas clearly and helping students understand concepts that initially seem difficult. I am patient, attentive to gaps in knowledge, and always adapt my explanations to the student's level.

My approach to teaching mathematics is based on understanding rather than memorization. I want students to know not only how to solve a problem, but why the method works and when to use it. I explain concepts step by step, use simple examples first, and then gradually move to more challenging problems.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material and a few questions to see what the student already understands. We then introduce or clarify the new topic, work through examples together, and finish with independent practice. I also pay attention to mistakes, because they often show exactly which part of the concept needs more explanation.
My lessons are suitable for middle and high school students who want to strengthen their fundamentals, keep up with their schoolwork, prepare for exams, or develop a deeper understanding of mathematics. I can also help students who feel that they are “not good at math” by rebuilding their understanding step by step and filling in gaps in their knowledge.
