About Matthew
Hello! I am a high school Algebra and Statistics teacher in Pennsylvania with 15 years' experience and degrees in Industrial Engineering and Mathematics Education. I love working with students one-on-one! I have taught grade levels 9-12 at all levels of instruction, ranging from honors classes to individual instruction of students with various learning disabilities.
My Pennsylvania Value-Added Assessment System (PVAAS) score is 3.0 (highest possible) for five years running, 2017-2021, which is indicative of significant evidence that my students exceed state standards for academic growth.
I have also been rated as a Distinguished Educator (best possible) by the district principal every year for over a decade, 2008-2021. Copies of my state and local performance evaluations are available upon request.

I offer lessons online via Zoom, Teams, or another web-conferencing software of your choice. I prefer to receive relevant materials before the lesson so that I can adequately prepare.
In addition to your scheduled lesson time, you will receive upon request:
1.) A recording of your lesson.
2.) Additional practice materials in the form of Quizizz games, Khan Academy lessons, and/or printable worksheets.
3.) The opportunity to reserve a weekly lesson time (a few dates in the summer will not be available.)
In-person lessons are available to Harrisburg-area students with a $10 surcharge.
