About Anika
Hi, I'm Anika, and I genuinely enjoy learning and teaching Maths and the sciences. Despite picking up a new hobby almost every week, I always find myself coming back to the challenge and satisfaction of learning. There's nothing quite like the feeling of finally understanding a difficult concept and seeing your hard work pay off.
I attended an underperforming state school until Year 11, so I understand the challenges many students face, whether that's a lack of confidence, limited support, or simply not knowing how to revise effectively. By developing efficient revision strategies and staying focused, I achieved top GCSE grades, which earned me a full bursary to a private school. Since then, I've continued my passion for STEM and am now studying Aerospace Engineering.

My approach to learning and revising GCSE Maths and Science is different from the traditional textbook-based method.
Rather than relying heavily on textbooks, I focus on teaching the exact knowledge and skills students need for their exams. In my experience, textbooks often contain large amounts of additional information that can overwhelm students and make revision less effective.
My aim is to help each student understand exactly what they are expected to know according to the specification, while developing the confidence to apply that knowledge in exam questions. Lessons are tailored to each student's strengths and areas for improvement, with a strong emphasis on clear explanations, worked examples, exam technique, and plenty of practice to build both understanding and confidence.
