About Karina

Hi, I’m Karina! When I’m not helping students achieve their academic goals, you can find me experimenting in the kitchen, volunteering in my community, or spending quality time with my friends. I also love dancing—it’s one of my favorite ways to unwind and express myself. As a tutor, I’m passionate about empowering students to build confidence in their abilities and develop strategies for long-term success. I enjoy making learning engaging and relatable by connecting academic concepts to real-life examples and personal goals. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can excel.

About the lesson

In a typical first session with a student, I focus on building rapport and understanding their specific needs and goals. I start by asking questions about their current challenges, strengths, and what they hope to achieve through tutoring. I also review any materials or topics they are struggling with to assess their understanding and identify areas for improvement.

Once I have a clear picture of their needs, I introduce a structured plan for our sessions, outlining content, practice, and strategies to help them achieve their goals. I aim to create a comfortable, encouraging environment where they feel confident asking questions and expressing concerns. By the end of the first session, the student will have a clearer sense of direction and actionable steps to begin improving their skills.
