About Maya
I have 5 years worth of tutoring experience and I understand the stress comes with balancing school, friends and extra-curriculars. I have had tutors in high school so I know what to expect and how to best help students improve and learn new skills and content. Alongside this, I believe a good tutor must be organised, have excellent time management, be well versed and knowledgeable and, most importantly, be patient.

I have experience in tutoring math for university students and primary aged students. Generally, my approach to tutoring is very application focused - I am happy to patiently explain a theory, but the most important part is practicing the skills of application and ensuring you feel confident enough to approach any question. I am also flexible in my lesson plans - my methods of teaching will adapt to what learning style suits my student. The length of my lessons will be between 1 - 2 hours, depending on the amount of work and practice necessary. I am happy to tutor students from Y2-10 and any IB students.
