About Jyotsna

I am a first year medical student at Queen's University, Belfast. I studied at Antrim Grammar School where I achieved 4A*s in my A levels and received the best in A levels award at my school. I also achieved a gold award in both the Senior Maths Challenge and the British Chemistry Olympiad. I am happy to tutor any of my listed A level subjects but would particularly like to tutor Maths as I really enjoy this subject. I also have some experience in teaching having been involved in Numeracy Mentoring at my school for 2 years helping GCSE students with their Maths. I also volunteered at a local primary school where I supported a young boy with a speech and language difficulty for 8 months which greatly developed my communication and empathy skills.

About the lesson

I am happy to tutor students in both GCSE and A level subjects - Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. I would prefer online teaching as I can tutor students not restricted to my living location. Weekend teaching would also be preferable because I have a busy week due to my tight med school schedule but I am happy to accommodate sessions in the evenings during the week. I have had good practice to improve my communication skills for med school application prep and I assure you that I will explain any questions you have in ways that you can understand using multiple, visual analogies that I and my teachers used to help me achieve my A* grade.
