About Lolita
I discovered yoga through dance practice and my passion for movement. I am also a graduated professional dancer. When I traveled to India to get a deeper understanding of the philosophy and the practice of yoga and meditation, I got my teacher certification, in Rishikesh. What affected me the most in the journey of yoga was the capacity of my body and mind to find stress relief, relaxation only with a daily practice of Asanas and meditation... No pills needed :') And getting stronger at the same time. An experience I wish to everyone, and that I want to share in my class! I've been teaching since 2020 and love to share a caring yoga practice with my students, giving you the tools and guidance to pursue a practice on your own. I have a very broad knowledge of anatomy and physiology thanks to my background as a dancer, and a discipline of my own body that enables me to perform the postures of the intermediate/advanced series in Ashtanga. The respect of the body rhythm, and practicing with care with our daily reality are my mantras. Based in Brooklyn this winter, I can come teach you home or online!

The aims of the practice I share: ⤖ to relieve tensions and stress ⤖ discover or improve flexibility ⤖ exploring the relationship between breath and movement ⤖ experiencing body mobility through seated and standing Vinyasa series ⤖ strengthen the core of the body and the pelvic floor ⤖ prepare and maintain the power of the abdomen Also: ⤖ practicing the fun of some balancing postures, on one leg, or even in inversion, depending on level. ⤖ At the end of class, we can practice Yin, stretching and/or self-massages. ⤖ Then comes the time of silence, when I invite you to meditate or practice breathing exercises, Pranayama. ✺ I like to use anatomical or poetic images to address several levels of consciousness
