About Bess

Hi! This is Bess, a passionate yoga instructor. Doing yoga is a journey of discovering myself. Doing yoga is more than a physical training. Instead, I can find calmness through breathing and focusing on my body. It's all about yourself as you can be you in yoga, no need to compare with others. I was a primary school teachers for many years so I know the importance of catering for learner diversity and the appreciation of the efforts students made. Personally I have been doing yoga for more than ten years. What I experienced is that the changes of strength and flexibility wouldn't happen overnight but they can be accumulated through consistent practice. After all, yoga relaxes my mind, makes me realize "I can" and makes me healthier.

My yoga lessons will start with some breathing, chanting and meditation exercises in order to calm ourselves down and bring our consciousness back to our bodies, free our mind from stress we are facing and recharge ourselves all the way through breathing and doing different asanas. My teaching also focuses on the alignment of asanas in order to build up a good foundation of yoga. Variations of postures and props like blocks, wheels and stripes are used to cater for different needs.
