About Katie
I have been teaching for 20 years and specialize in supporting students with disabilities, as well as those in general education. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching a wide range of learners, and I am passionate about helping every student grow, achieve, and gain confidence in themselves. I hold a Master’s degree in Education, along with both a Special Education Credential and a Multiple Subject Credential. My background and experience have given me the tools to meet students where they are and guide them toward success. Most importantly, I love creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where children not only build skills but also develop a true excitement for learning.

I believe every child can grow as a reader with the right support. I use curriculum and evidence-based teaching practices to meet your child right where they are, no matter their grade, age, or reading level. Each lesson is personalized to fit your child’s learning style and needs—whether that means building confidence with early reading skills, strengthening comprehension, or improving fluency. I work with students from preschool through high school and love helping preschoolers get excited about reading using proven, research-based strategies. My goal is to make reading less stressful and more enjoyable, while giving your child the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.
