About Elly
I’m a Year 12 student with a Grade 9 in GCSE English Language, and I’m passionate about helping others achieve the same success. I want to show people that English Language doesn’t have to be a difficult, boring subject and can be made simple and fun. Having recently completed my GCSEs, I understand the challenges students face and how to overcome them with clear strategies and exam-focused practice. I’m patient, supportive and committed to making lessons enjoyable. My goal is to build confidence, improve skills and help students reach their full potential.

For many students, the style of teaching in school is simply not right for them. I used to think English was a really difficult subject, until I took it upon myself to learn it off my own back, which ended up in me getting a grade 9! I teach GCSE English Language by breaking down skills into simple, practical steps and focusing on exam technique. Lessons are usually an hour and consist of past paper practice, model answers and personalised feedback. I achieved a grade 9 in English Language and as a Year 12 student, I understand what really helps at GCSE level. My lessons are aimed at Year 10 and 11 students who want to build confidence and achieve strong grades.
