About Edward
I'm a 20 year old Masters Graduate from UC Berkeley with a BSC in Mathematics and Computer Science. I believe in learning through practice problems instead of reading textbooks.
When I was young, I learned abacus, which skyrocketed my basic arithmetic ability. In elementary school, I was doing math olympiad questions, which completely changed the way I looked at math, and taught me to look for various different methods of solving the same problem. Then, in high school, I took and did well in many math contests such as the AMC and Waterloo contests (Cayley, Fermat, Euclid).
Curiously, I love to game - I am a professional Riichi Mahjong Player. Integrating the fun from games into learning is the key to success. I work with teaching examples with objects you are more familiar with makes the learning much more enjoyable.
