About Emma
I am a 16-year-old high school student in grade 11. I am currently taking a co-op study in teaching. I am a straight-A student in every subject who is able to make learning fun while also helping students stay on task. I love helping others and I would love to be able to help your child feel more confident and stress-free when it comes to school.

A typical tutor session for me would last an hour and would vary depending on what subjects and age the student is. My age maximum is grade 8 students but exceptions can be made under certain circumstances.
When tutoring kids I notice that a lot of students are given one example on a paper that is not explained and are expected to learn it on their own. That is not the case for all learners.
Auditory learners find it easier when they listen to what to do from someone and are corrected when they need it.
Visual learners find it easier when someone would show them an example on a piece of paper and are corrected when needed.
Kinesthetic learners find it easier to learn when something is taught more hands on like using flashcards for spelling or counting blocks for math and then corrected when needed.
When tutoring students I like to ask them what way they prefer to learn and start with that. Once they are comfortable with the subject using one learning style it is easier to start learning others ways to learn.
