About George

I know the difference a good teacher can make, for example, I used not enjoy English class because my teacher was new, inexperienced and not very effective at teaching. However I currently have a very good English teacher and i am now able to both enjoy English and subsequently perform much better.
I am a minority in just about every sense of the word, being both queer, the child of an immigrant mother and part indigenous father, however i am not claiming to be poor and desperate. Both my parents are very intelligent and have achieved great things in their lives, and that mentality has transferred to me as well. i want to help people and to make the world a better place. I have seen hoe bad the world can be, from global politics down to a high school bully, although i may not have been broke before, i have been broken and i want to help others from falling apart by teaching them how to hold themselves together and how to rise up above them.

About the lesson

I am a 16 year old, year 11 high school student, consistently scored in the top threee to five students in my year group for the past three years
Lessons would range from 1-2 hours, times per week varying per student
Knows first aid
I like to focus on teaching how to solve problems, Teaching methods for solving problems, instead of just telling them the answer. I believe communication, empathy and mutual respect are essential for success in learning as well as life.
For social studies i try to relate world issues to problems they could be facing in their own lives, without simplifying too much. Not just telling them what to think, but telling them what happened with certain events and letting them come to their own conclusions,
