About Deborah
I am a 20-year veteran teacher who has taught from kindergarten through eighth grade in reading instruction and language development. I am also a mother of three teenagers. I was a Girl Scout troop leader and a softball coach. I am a sports mom, very involved in my kids’ extracurricular activities. I love art, animals, camping and spending time outdoors at all kinds of sporting events and festivals.

Students will receive specified reading instruction. I will do weekly progress monitoring to gauge the student’s progress. We will start with a phonics screener to get a baseline in where your child is at and design instruction based on their specific needs and skills. I specialize instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. I make learning fun and meaningful.
