About Elisabeth

Creative writing, business English, grammar, phonics for beginners, and essay writing constitute my primary focus. Honestly, I find that teaching English grammar remains as complex as the diplomacy I practiced in my former life.

I am from Quebec City and have spent 13 years guiding students toward academic and professional success. My background includes a Master en Didactique du FLE and a CELTA certification. I currently reside in Seattle where I work with diverse learners. Sometimes, the simplest rules are the hardest to explain clearly.

About the lesson

Many students struggle because they memorize rules instead of understanding how language functions in real communication. 221 students have passed through my classes, allowing me to refine my methods over 13 years of practice. I target common errors that prevent clarity in essay writing and professional correspondence. My lessons break down complex phonics for beginners into manageable, logical segments that stick.

I bring 6 years of specific curriculum development to our time together. I really enjoy watching students find their own voice through structured practice.
