About Troy
I have been tutoring and/or teaching since 2011. I am currently certified to teach K-12 grade. I am getting back into tutoring for this summer. For the last several years, I have been teaching through the summer for various summer programs. While I was at college for my bachelor's, I tutored extensively for AmeriCorps in urban environments. I also have tutored for AVID programs within public high schools in my local area. I have experience working with students of all ages, from K-Adult learners. Over the last 3 years, I have also branched out in having students pass their HiSET examinations with a 100% success rate with my students passing their tests.

Hello! I am a teacher who is off for the summer! I hold my Bachelor’s in K–5 Education and a Master’s in K–12 Curriculum/Instruction and Special Education. I have 3+ years of experience teaching high school math and science, and I currently teach 3rd–5th grade science and social studies during the school year.
I also specialize in helping teens and adults prepare for and pass the HiSET (Formerly Known as the GED) exams.
I would like to focus on tutoring for mathematics, given the unmet need for math tutors; however, I have experience in teaching all content areas.
