About Michael
Originally an IT Consultant, Michael Schmid needed physical fitness to offset hours of sitting in front of a computer screen. Yoga brought him balance and peace. This led him to seek his Register Teacher Training certification with Yoga alliance during a 200 hour course in Uvita, Costa Rica in the hopes of sharing that peace and balance with anyone who seeks it.

Hatha Yoga is an ancient science: tried, tested and true. Michael Schmid's methods are those of his teachers and his teacher's teachers passed down through generations and perfect using modern understandings of human anatomy and physiology. Inspired by B.K.S. Iyengar, Michael's classes are rooted in traditional knowledge and applied with modern styles.
