About Katherine
I am a sophomore voice performance major who has been teaching group singing and private lessons for four years. I assistant directed a children's choir with Pittsburgh Girls Choir and worked with girls ages 7-13 from sophomore to senior year of high school. I also have taught at choir camps for all of high school and assistant music directed a middle school musical. I have had a few private students over the years, but I would love to teach more. I've worked with mostly elementary aged children, but I feel comfortable working with all ages.

My approach to teaching is very individualistic. I believe that each student has different needs, and different goals. Because each of these goals are different, my approach to teaching should be different. I also believe that singing is a big part of confidence. Finding your voice and learning to use your instrument can be extremely helpful with developing a sense of self.
