About Alyssa
I have been tutoring high school art students for the past three years while studying Visual Arts at the University of Johannesburg, where I also tutored younger years in painting. I aim to build a relationship with students based on trust and mutual respect, for ourselves and the work we make. Art is about practice while enjoying the process, I want to help nurture the need to create while improving your skills until you are satisfied and also to learn new art-making techniques or mediums.

I do a step-by-step approach, walking you through the process of what you want to learn to achieve your goal. I can teach fluently in both Afrikaans and English. I do focus on practical art-related practices but I can assist with Art History, making practice tests, and helping with art analysis. My goal is to see an improvement from when you started and to nurture a love for art making.
