About Katarina

I have first started actively working on my breath and stress release through meditation in 2013., and ever since my life has changed greatly.
Since 2018. I have implemented into my life asanas and different types of pranayama.
I had finished my 200 hours yoga teacher training in 2020, and extra 300 hours teacher training in 2021, so in total I am 500 hour certified yoga teacher, and in the past year I have increased my hours for 40 hours more through workshops, additional courses and retreats.
Since then I had led several classes of different types of yoga (vinyasa, yin, restorative) online and in a studio, both in Serbian and in English.
In 2022. I have become a member of Yoga Alliance.

In my 60 minute Vinyasa yoga lessons I tend to implement into it what the student needs the most at that particular moment - wheather it is more intense asanas, more meditation, more pranayama or more relaxation time.
We will start each class by creating an intention for ourselves. After that we will do a short meditation followed by a warm up.
My Vinyasa classes usually consist of an intro, warm up, flow to peak, inversion and backbends, abdominal work and a cool down, followed by a Savasana.
Yin yoga classes are usually tied to a theme - for example opening up of a certain chakra and they require more steadiness through the class.
Restorative yoga classes are useful after a hefty workout, where you will get to restore and relax the muscles that were used the most during the workout, while simultaneously meditating throughout the class and calming the mind, getting out of the fight-flight-freeze mode.
