About Ty
I began my career in the life sciences 16 years ago during my senior year of high school, working as a zookeeper. After my time working in a zoological setting I have since worked as a veterinary assistant, epidemiologist, biologist, and finally veterinarian with postgraduate training as an anatomic pathologist.
I graduated from the College of Charleston with a BA in biology in 2016 and from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024.
As a veterinarian I have experience teaching students a variety of topics ranging from histology, infectious disease/microbiology, toxicology, pathobiology, special topics in liver pathology, and advanced laboratory diagnostic medicine.

I am a veterinarian (DVM) and biologist with advanced training in pathology, immunology, infectious disease, and cellular biology. I have 16 years of clinical and scientific experience and am comfortable teaching all levels of biology, anatomy, physiology, etc. I am a patient and enthusiastic instructor with a deep love for medicine and the life sciences and hope to inspire the same love for the sciences in all of my students.
