About Kevin
I've been a working illustrator and designer for over 15 years. In that time, I've worked with clients and fellow creative pros to take projects above and beyond "good enough". From logos to packaging to creature and character design, I can help students pinpoint their weaknesses and turn them into strengths.
I've made all the mistakes you can make as an artist, and I can help students avoid those and anticipate others through good communication and helpful examples.

I use live demonstrations, analogies, online resources, and visual aids to explain art and design principles: everything I've learned from 15+ years of making art for a living, to meet students at their current level and foster positive growth.
- traditional drawing (charcoal, graphite, pen and ink)
- digital art (graphic design, digital painting, concept art)
- visual communication (icons, logos, basic typography)
- visual research (mood boards, image gathering, ideation)
We then work out a schedule, timeline, and relevant projects to tackle each student's particular challenges: building the momentum, confidence, and the resilience to keep improving.
