About Zack
My name is Zack and I’m a UWA graduate and postgraduate student currently undertaking a cancer therapy research project. I’m ambitious, with a burning desire to one day start my own biotech company — but I know that requires both financial stability and a deep command of biochemistry. Tutoring allows me to pursue both goals: earning money by helping others while reinforcing my own scientific foundations. Along the way, I’ve learned that success isn’t just about rote memorisation to regurgitate on an exam. After placing in the top 2.3% of my state in 2020 and the top 15% of my undergraduate cohort in 2023, I’ve realised two truths: there’s no substitute for hard work, and every topic has a right — and more importantly, a wrong — way to learn it. My goal is to show students how to avoid those pitfalls and unlock the most effective ways of mastering science.

English was always my weakest subject through school but necessary to complete my ATAR entry into Uni. I was constantly being told I wasn’t suitable for ATAR English. Zack’s tutoring through year 11 and 12 did not only help me pass my ATAR English, but to feel confident in my English proficiency throughout my Uni studies. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Zack as a tutor.
