About Shoaib
Over the past 2 decades I have worked within a school setting, ran play schemes and supported children as an Occupational Therapist. After having done all this I find myself still craving to go back into teaching. With over a decade of experience in supporting children within mainstream and special needs setting, I have developed an empathetic and holistic approach to the challenges faced by children on their learning journey. I develop healthy positive relationships with all students and believe it is important to equip all children with the tools they need to become effective, confident and independent learners. I am very flexible and adaptable in my approach. I use bespoke strategies, including the use of Autism and Sensory Integration friendly strategies, which helps me to work with students of all ages and abilities. I use a variety of methods and try apply how the knowledge learnt can be used to benefit everyday life. I also try and utilise learning through play, especially during summer. One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been seeing those moments when a child feels like they have moved forward in their learning and the confidence they gain through this. * Bookings are now being taken for summer holiday tuition.
