About Alice
I am passionate about teaching English because, in today’s world of “brain rot,” quick messages, abbreviations, and social media slang, good spelling and grammar can sometimes be overlooked. I believe that strong English skills are still incredibly important—not only for academic success, but also for communicating confidently and effectively in everyday life.
As a university student, I understand the importance of being able to write clearly, structure ideas, use correct grammar and spelling, and communicate effectively. I want to help students develop these skills while making English enjoyable and approachable.
My lessons are friendly, supportive, and tailored to each student's needs. I can help with spelling, grammar, reading, writing, essay structure, comprehension, and NCEA English preparation. My goal is to help students improve their academic performance while also developing strong English skills that they can carry with them into the future.

My approach is friendly, patient, and focused on helping students build confidence in English. I believe students learn best when lessons are tailored to their individual needs, so I adjust my teaching style depending on their level, goals, and areas they find challenging.
I use clear explanations, examples, guided practice, and constructive feedback to help students understand concepts rather than simply memorizing answers. For writing, I can help students develop ideas, structure essays, improve vocabulary and grammar, and strengthen their ability to communicate their arguments clearly.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes, with flexibility depending on the student's age, level, and learning goals.
As a university student, I understand the challenges students face and aim to create a comfortable environment where they can ask questions, make mistakes, and improve without feeling pressured.
My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary school students, including students preparing for NCEA English.
