About Hester

I’m currently a university student at Massey University, completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Environmental Science. Throughout my schooling and university studies, Math has always been a subject I’ve genuinely enjoyed and felt confident in. I appreciate the logical thinking and problem-solving skills it develops, and I love helping others experience those “lightbulb moments” when concepts start to click. Alongside my studies, I have previously worked in hospitality, which has strengthened my communication skills, patience, and ability to connect with a wide range of people. I’m a friendly and approachable person who enjoys working with others and creating a positive, supportive environment. Outside of academics, I spend a lot of time outdoors and enjoy making the most of nature whenever I can. I’m passionate about helping students grow in confidence, feel comfortable asking questions, and reach their full potential in Math.

Looking for supportive, personalised help with Maths? I offer online Maths tutoring for students of all levels up to Level 3 NCEA, providing clear guidance and a friendly, approachable learning environment. I’m a patient and encouraging tutor who understands that everyone learns differently. Whether you’re working through tricky algebra, preparing for exams, or trying to boost your confidence in class, I’m here to help every step of the way. I tailor every session to the individual student. Together, we’ll identify what needs to be covered and build a clear plan to tackle it. Lessons are structured but flexible — designed around your current goals, deadlines, and areas that need extra attention. Standard sessions are 60 minutes, with longer sessions available if needed (especially helpful during exam periods). If you’re looking for a friendly face who genuinely cares about your progress and success, I’d love to work with you.
