About Joe
Hello! I'm Joe. I did 4 A-levels in geography, politics, history, and theatre studies, which I knew would help in my law degree. In contrast to the odds at my state-comp school, I gained 5 uni offers from all Russell Group universities, including Oxford, where I now study. It was such a rollercoaster and making the journey to & through exams easier, is what makes me want to tutor :)

Conventionally, lessons in schools focus on learning content. However, to get a 9 or an A*, memorisation is insufficent. Thus, looking at flexibly appliying knowledge distinguishes the top-tier students from the rest. My lessons will cement the content with a depth of understanding, from practice questions, seeing the interconnectivity between topics, and create a means to 'think', not solely 'memorise'.
