About Serena

I am doing a bachelors degree in Biochemistry at Exeter University. I have four years of tutoring experience at GCSE level, and I myself achieved A*'s at GCSE and A's at A Level. I am good at explaining things to others simply, catering to many different types of learners with differing ability levels. I really understand how frustrating learning these difficult scientific concepts can be, so I want to make the experience as fun as possible!

About the lesson

I make my classes as engaging as possible by including as much interactive learning as possible. Lessons can be so boring when teachers just talk AT you rather than learn WITH you! Students struggling with scientific concepts often don't even realise their potential, therefore my goal is to build students' confidence so they end up loving science rather than dreading it.

Serena is always ready to help and will go above and beyond for others. She is great at boosting confidence and ensuring that everyone is happy and comfortable. She is an outstanding university student herself and has a large amount of chemical knowledge which will help her students excel in Chemistry. She is very organised and hard working, qualities which I am sure she can pass on to her students.
