About Maria

I have never given professional lessons but i have had previous experience with teaching children. I have a GSCE in Fine Art and as a part time artist who works with different medias, my experience has sprouted through my interest in art from the history of art to creating the pieces i now sell online.

I have always been an art enthusiast since a very young age, my style and interests have changed throughout the years which have given me experience and learning in different forms of art. I want to give lessons to those that want to learn in a sense of not feeling like you are learning; but instead developing the skills you already have and finding the style of drawing/painting that suits you best.

About the lesson

My name is Maria, i'm a Classical Studies student (Archeology) and a part time artist. My speciality is in Fine art's and watercolour painting, i am more than happy to teach any ages the skills and methods i use and to be flexible with your current skills so that you may develop naturally and enjoy each lesson.

Lesson Structure:

First of all to understand your skills and approach to drawing/painting, we will be doing some practice sketches/painting with appropriate chosen references or ones of your choice, i will be analysing your technique and skills to better fit the future lessons around you so you have comfortable and stress free lessons.

Secondly we will try different references throughout each lesson to figure out what style or form of art your most comfortable with, e.g landscape or figure drawing. Once we figure out your preferences our lessons will become more personal in the sense of focusing on the areas and methods you prefer to work with.

Overall the lessons will fit around you, i will teach you skills and methods throughout the lessons in a laid back manner so that you don't get overloaded with unneeded information and so we can expand on the areas that you feel you want to know more of.

My approach to teaching is a non strict or planned approach, i have an easy going and person oriented personality that is more than friendly and happy to teach children or anyone in general looking for a relaxed and enjoyable teaching experience.

I am extremely flexible with time and location or method of teaching if you prefer to do it through Skype.
