About Laura
Over almost 7 years of university teaching, I’ve had the opportunity to teach and support students across a wide range of subjects and academic backgrounds.
I have taught more than 20 university subjects across institutions including the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Notre Dame Australia, working with students from first year through to more advanced levels of study.
I’ve also been fortunate to be recognized for my contributions to teaching, including receiving a Dean’s Merit Award and being nominated for a Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Award.
One of the things I’m most proud of, however, is the relationships I’ve built with my students. I’ve worked with students with very different learning styles, strengths and challenges, and I’ve developed a teaching approach that focuses on making complex concepts easier to understand and helping students build genuine confidence in their abilities.
For me, successful teaching isn’t just about improving grades, it’s about helping students become more confident, independent learners who actually understand why rather than simply memorizing what!

Hi! I’ve been a university tutor and lecturer for almost 7 years, working with a diverse range of students across different subjects and levels of study.
Over the years, I’ve learned that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to learning. I like to get to know each student and work out what study methods, explanations and strategies make the most sense for them. Whether you’re struggling with a difficult concept, preparing for an exam, or simply want to feel more confident in your studies, I aim to make learning feel less overwhelming and more manageable.
My goal is to create a supportive, relaxed environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes and actually understand the material, rather than just memorising it!
