About Katie

I'm Katie and I study BSc Biomedical Sciences at UCL. I achieved 3 A*s in my A levels and full marks in my EPQ. I also achieved grade 9s in all nine of my GCSE subjects and a distinction in Additional Maths. As well as tutoring the student I would function as a good role model and mentor for them going forward as I am quite young (19) so I would be relatable to them. I also have a lot of advice to offer them to do with schooling.

About the lesson

My lessons tend to be between 1 and 2 hours long. I start off with the first few lessons assessing the student's weak and strong spots in the subject by informally going through past papers with them (if they have covered enough content for this). I will then go through each of their weak spots in future lessons integrated with tests of knowledge to ensure that my methods are working. I will experiment and see which teaching style and pace is required for each student so that my tutoring is personalised as everyone's learning is different.
