About Lucy

I’m a junior at the University of Minnesota Duluth studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Materials Science. I have a 3.8 GPA and have completed Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus I & II, and Physics I & II with strong grades. I’ve also spent years helping tutor my younger sister and cousins. I genuinely enjoy working with students and helping them find a way of learning that works best for them.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalized to each student’s needs and learning style. We’ll work through difficult concepts step-by-step, practice problems together, and focus on truly understanding the material rather than just memorizing answers. My goal is to make math and science feel less overwhelming while helping students build confidence.

Lucy is my older sister, and she has helped me throughout my academic experience. She is knowledgeable, patient, and very good at breaking down difficult concepts into ways that are easy to understand. She has always been encouraging and willing to take the time to make sure I genuinely understand the material. I would highly recommend her as a tutor!

As a friend of Lucy’s, I would recommended her as a tutor because of how dedicated and hardworking she is - she wants others to succeed as much as she does herself. Also, while she is very intelligent, she is easy to talk to and sociable, making her a great choice as a tutor!
