About Dzsiree
Hello, I'm Desiree!
I am currently a student studying at UCLA as Microbiology as my major. Apart from my own academic life, here are a few reasons that relate to teaching math. First off, I LOVE math, in which I make sure I consistently study math, even when I'm not taking the class. I understand math can be very complex and hard, but I want to make sure everyone can see math as a fun puzzle!
With my learning techniques, I can assure that one will understand math better. For that, I keep in mind that everyone has a different way of learning, and I do take that into huge consideration when teaching/plan my lessons.
Besides that, I have been presidents to multiple math clubs in high School, and tutored many students and helping them throughout their math courses. I have studied up to AP Calculus BC. And currently studying Calculus 2 in college. My top priority is to not only simple teach, but to make sure students get the material by the end of each lesson. I understand that everyone makes mistakes when it comes to math, and with my lessons, I want to ensure that everyone should see mistakes as a step to success!

My method is always planning my lessons thoughtfully and making sure I am sharing them with every possible question a student may ask... For example, many students are visual learners. I make sure I imply that onto my lessons. I have outlines for my lessons and use my iPad, that way I am able to write on it and make sure my students are able to see.
I also make sure I do not go off track my plan for the lessons, as students can get lost. At the end, I go over any extra questions (apart from the ones during lesson). Apart from my outline, I want to make sure I learn the material very well, as I will be advanced in the material I am teaching. The lessons I could teach can range from elementary students to high school students.
