About Yashita
Hi! I'm Yashita, a medical student currently studying at UCL, going into my second year of studies.
Having achieved top grades in both my GCSES ( 10 A*/A's) and A Levels ( 3 A*’s), I have a strong scientific foundation and am well equipped in knowledge of good exam technique and understanding required to help my students achieve those top grades!

Having achieved all 9's in my GCSE sciences and 3 A*'s at A Level, I know that a solid understanding of concepts and good exam technique is key to do well in examinations.
Hence, my lessons follow a structured lesson plan, (this is sent to the student before the lesson), in which we go through the concept, and they can fill in the plan with their notes. My teaching style aims to gauge the students initial understanding and then build upon it with detail required, as per the specification for their exam board. Studying medicine at a world leading university also means I have a strong scientific foundation, to aid understanding outside of the specification
Following this, to test understanding, I collate exam questions for the topic for the student to complete, where we can then fill in any gaps whilst going through the mark scheme. This is a key step to solidify exam technique and help my students achieve those top grades
If desired, I also like to keep a close rapport with parents, regularly updating them on how the student is progressing!
Each lesson is tailored to each student, depending on their learning style and level of understanding.
- I tutor levels KS3, GSCE and A Level.
- Lesson typically last an hour, but this can be longer if requested.
