About Kelly
I am a PhD student at Imperial College London. I have several years' experience in tutoring BSc, A-level and GCSE students. I have a degree in Biomedical sciences as well as an MSc in Genomic medicine and an MRes in Biomedical research. My teaching style covers a range of techniques, including how to understand complex theories, answering exam-style questions and gaining full marks on practical exam questions. My background is mainly Biomedical, however, I am able to tutor students across the subject of Biology. I am an enthusiastic individual who believes that every student is capable of obtaining fantastic grades. For this I am very keen to encourage and motivate students to reach their full potential. My tutoring style aims to keep students engaged and to help them visualise problems in order to find logical solutions. I also like to set clear goals for students, so that they can visualise their progress and gain the confidence needed to understand their subject. I am dedicated to helping students realise their talent and tailor their learning styles to what helps them to learn best. Last year, I needed help in chemistry. Kelly was able to explain some of the more trickier subjects, and assisted in my schoolwork. She was friendly and had a really positive attitude. I would highly recommend her!
Kelly worked with me in Biology and chemistry. We mainly worked through exam papers and questions, but we also went over content that I was weak with. We focused on how to answer questions to get the full marks, especially the ones that were 3 marks or higher.
