About Akina
I’m originally from China and have been living in Australia for 18 years. Mandarin is my native language, and I am also proficient in English. Currently, I work in Accounting and Law fields.
I have extensive experience tutoring Maths and Mandarin to children in both China and Australia. After obtaining my Chinese Teacher Certificate from the International Profession Certification Association (IPA) in 2020, I began teaching adults online.
I specialise in teaching Maths in both English and Mandarin to children from preschool to grade 4. This bilingual approach is especially valuable for families who are raising their children with Mandarin or English as a second language. It not only strengthens logical thinking but also enhances language skills.
I am passionate about teaching and take great pride in watching my students grow. Seeing them progress — from uncertainty to confidence and from confusion to understanding — is the most rewarding part of my work.
