  • 1. Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

    I was quite young when I started practicing yoga. We used to have yoga classes at my school. All my classmates told me that I was flexible. I didn't even know what that meant back then. Once I started taking the classes seriously, I realised that I was good at various asanas. That's what piqued my interest. As I learnt more about yoga in depth, it just became an inseparable part of my life.
  • 2. What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

    My teachers have inspired me to teach because everything they taught me made a great impact and difference in my life. I started to feel healthier and learnt to control my reactions in various situations.
  • 3. How does your work help society?

    My work helps in keeping society healthy. People are not only physically fit, they also start feeling more happy and at peace when they practice yoga. This leads to a happy and healthy society.
  • 4. If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

    I would think of my yoga teachers as my role model because they have taught me that teachers do not give up on their students. I have learnt from them to always support and understand students instead of discouraging them.
  • 5. Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

    Other than teaching, I love listening to music. I also love reading novels. I love learning new things. I love meeting new people as well because we all have a story worth telling.
  • 6. Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

    I have seen the laziest people become active and the most rigid people become flexible only with consistency. I have witnessed a student of mine who was extremely stressed and depressed become happy just by meditating for 15 minutes every day. In short, this career has shown me how much yoga improves people's lives
