About Nichole
Hello, my name is Nichole! I am a Chemical Engineering Undergraduate student at the UK's top 3 ranked chemical engineering university (The Guardian University Guide 2022), The University of Nottingham.
In terms of being a tutor, I intend to share my knowledge and capabilities in hopes of guiding and reinforcing my tutee to success, specifically the GCSE, AS and A-Level chemistry (AQA) papers.

Are you a first-year UK college student who is struggling with chemistry? Or maybe a pre-A Level student who desires to get ahead prior to starting their A Levels this September? Or simply a parent searching for a comfortable affordable tutor to assist their child with Chemistry? Nevertheless, I am a tutor here to support your academic goals, regardless of your skill level.
My teaching aims are to create a no judgement, no pressurising zone, where my tutee can learn from mistakes comfortably and at a pace suitable for them, unlike what may be experienced during lessons in a classroom.
Lessons would include:
- Identifying the gaps in your knowledge that I can assist in filling
- Memory strategies
- Teaching new content within the specification for you to get ahead of your class!
- Offering useful resources/ websites
- Tips and advice with exam technique
- My personal techniques, methods, and explanations, which allow thinking from an easier and/ or alternative perspective
- Simply a standby assistant, where the tutee can complete exam questions with me present to explain questions when necessary
By booking a trial lesson with me would allow us to discuss your goals, aspects you wish to work on, and how I can help you achieve them. This trial may also include a discussion of your curriculum at the moment, such as upcoming assessments/ mocks/ exams, for me to organise your future lessons in preparation for them. Moreover, we can discuss the specification and layout of the GCSE/ AS/ A-Level exams, therefore informing you of what you expect to learn. Furthermore, it would allow me to gather a better understanding of you as a student: what your learning style may be or how you normally revise, allowing me to personalise your lessons to fit your learning style and what works for you as an individual.
In addition, it is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have regarding me as your potential tutor.
