About Syra
I am a writer, a reader and a creative person. I want to help you reach your learning goals! I have been teaching ESL for four years, including teaching abroad for one year. I have worked with ages 3-60! I can meet you on your level. I hold a bachelors degree in English as well as both TEFL and TESOL certifications.

I focus on a student-centered classroom. What this means is that I want to try to get every student engaged in the lesson and focus on individual strengths and weaknesses. Every student learns differently and I am aware of this and will work with you to make sure we are meeting your goals (or help you set some goals to reach for!) I teach English to low-intermediate level students, which can include children between the ages of 8 and 14 as well as adults 35+. I can teach conversational English, grammar, writing, reading, and speaking. In addition, I can also assist with literacy and basic reading.
