About Bianca

I am currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc Hons) at the University of Queensland (UQ), and I hold a Bachelor of Equine Science. My studies have given me a strong foundation in biology, anatomy, physiology, genetics, and animal health. Having gone through both high school and university-level science myself, I understand the challenges students can face and how to overcome them. I genuinely enjoy helping others gain confidence in biology and related subjects, and I’m passionate about supporting students in reaching their academic goals—whether that’s improving grades, preparing for exams, or exploring future pathways in science.

About the lesson

Through the experience gained in both my past and current studies, I’ve learned that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to learning new content or recalling previously learned concepts. That’s why my teaching style is centered around personalised, engaging support—adapting to each student’s learning style and working with them to discover what methods suit them best.

I believe that learning how to learn effectively is a crucial step toward truly understanding a subject, not just memorising it. My background in biology, developed through my studies in equine science and veterinary science, enables me to explain complex concepts in multiple ways—whether through visual aids, analogies, or step-by-step breakdowns.

This flexible, tailored approach helps ensure that each student’s individual needs are met, and that they’re supported in achieving the academic outcomes they’re aiming for.

Offering lessons both online and in person, I am confident teaching school biology across all grade levels, through to first-year university veterinary or animal science students. I can also offer insight and guidance for students considering a degree in veterinary medicine, including what to expect and how to prepare.
