About Katherine
I am a third-year Ph.D. Candidate (University of Brighton) with a background and degrees spanning the Humanities and Social Sciences - in particular - history, politics, and media studies. I have extensive understanding and knowledge related to all subfields in these categories as well as general academic skills (CV writing, Academic writing, etc).
I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in History and Politics from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA). While here I also undertook many opportunities to teach and tutor multiple age ranges.
I earned my Masters's Degree in Holocaust and Genocide Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London. My work here and with my Ph.D. has focused on the use of social media, historical events, governments, and the effect on the everyday consumer.
In my spare time, I am a reader, writer (creatively!), and dog lover.
My quest for knowledge has been driven by my curiosity and it is thanks to tutors and teachers in my past for shaping me into the academic I am today. I hope I can do the same for you!

Learning should be fun, yes, even those subjects you aren't the biggest fan of! As someone who utilised tutors themself, becoming your tutor and crafting a unique, safe, and understanding learning environment is key for me. We all learn differently, and part of my structure for my lessons focuses on learning from you how you digest knowledge and learn so the material and information can be understood and less daunting.
I am a third-year Ph.D. Candidate with a background and degrees spanning the Humanities and Social Sciences - in particular - history, politics, and media studies. I have extensive understanding and knowledge related to all subfields in these categories as well as general academic skills (CV writing, Academic writing, etc).
I am very flexible on times for lessons as well as age range and levels, having taught and tutored an extensive range of ages in the past.
