I’m a third-year university biology student who enjoys helping others understand biology in a clear and manageable way. I aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

I come prepared to each session and adapt lessons to what the student needs most, whether that’s reviewing concepts, preparing for tests, or staying organized with coursework. My goal is to make biology feel less intimidating and more approachable.

My approach as a tutor is focused on understanding before memorization. Biology often feels overwhelming because students are expected to remember large amounts of information without fully grasping how concepts connect. I prioritize building a strong conceptual framework first, then layering in details, terminology, and exam-style thinking.

I adapt my teaching style to the student’s pace and learning preferences, using clear explanations, visual breakdowns, and guided questioning to ensure concepts actually make sense rather than being passively memorized.

Teaching Methodology & Techniques

I use a concept-based and active learning approach, which includes breaking complex biological processes into simple, logical steps, linking new material to prior knowledge, using diagrams, flowcharts, and real examples, and asking targeted questions to reinforce understanding.
