About Michelle

A Professional Perspective with a Heart for Nature

Hello! I am a multi-passionate educator and professional with over 18 years of experience in the healthcare industry as a Nurse. Throughout my career, I’ve learned that clear communication isn't just about grammar—it’s about connection and empathy.

In addition to my medical background, I am a business owner and a seasoned entrepreneur with experience in childcare. When I’m not working, you can find me in the garden! I have a deep love for permaculture and sustainable farming, and I’ve spent the last decade learning how to live in harmony with the land.

I am also a "slow traveler" and a lifelong learner. I enjoy exploring new cultures, learning local history, and sharing stories from my journey—including my recent adventures through Central America. I’ve raised four children who are now adults, so I understand the patience and encouragement needed to help someone grow and reach their full potential.

Whether you want to discuss clinical nursing scenarios, the best way to plant a food forest, or simply practice daily English for travel, I am here to support you. I can’t wait to meet you and hear your story!

About the lesson

Professional Expertise meets Natural Conversation

What to expect in our sessions:
Whether you are a healthcare professional looking to polish your clinical English or a nature lover wanting to practice fluent conversation, my classroom is a space for growth. I believe the best way to learn is through topics that actually matter to you.

For the Medical & Business Professional:
With 18 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, I specialize in helping doctors, nurses, and students master the nuances of healthcare English.

Clinical Communication: Practice patient assessments, hand-off reports, and medical terminology.

Professional Tone: Improve your confidence in meetings, interviews, or managing business contracts.

Accuracy: I provide real-time corrections to ensure your grammar and pronunciation are precise.

For the Lifelong Learner & Nature Enthusiast:
Beyond the clinic, I am a passionate gardener, traveler, and entrepreneur. If you prefer a more relaxed approach, we can dive into:

Sustainable Living: Let’s discuss permaculture, food forests, and off-grid life.

Travel & Culture: Practice your English by sharing stories about travel, local history, and global traditions.

Daily Fluency: From parenting and childcare to navigating a new city, we’ll focus on the English you need for real-life situations.

My Teaching Style:
I am a firm believer in "learning by doing." I bring the same patience I’ve used in nursing and childcare to our lessons. My goal is to make you feel comfortable enough to make mistakes—because that is exactly how you improve!
