About Anthony

I am a graduate of International Economics and Public Administration from two world-class tertiary institutions. I am goal-oriented, organized, innovative, and enthusiastic about teaching and clearly communicating complex information in simple and entertaining ways to boost knowledge acquisition. With my years of experience and education in applying appropriate teaching and assessment methodologies and contributing to the designing and development of objectives and teaching plans, I believe I will contribute uniquely to your development and the development of your ward in a very individualistic setting. I possess a strong track record in improving test scores and effectively transforming students' attitude to studies and life with my teaching, guidance, and counseling skills. I began taking English classes in 2013 when I led preparatory classes for students in their exit classes who needed a curricular brush-up. • My professional experiences were mainly in a Language School as a TESOL teacher in the city of Harbin, China. As much as the school preferred a British Curriculum, the style of teaching was actually mixed. • For students learning English, much like learning any language, the overall goal is to be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the language they are learning. For most students, this will mean having a grasp on the mechanics and grammar of the language, and being able to speak, listen, write, and read in English. Another goal for most students is passing exams, and this makes curricular engagement necessary.

About the lesson

• English can be a difficult language to learn, particularly because it is grammatically more challenging than many other languages. There is a challenge of environment in a multicultural space like ours, but overcoming this creates a whole new world of opportunities within and outside the borders of our homeland. The demand for the language is huge and the chances that are presented through it are enormous. • I learned a lot from my first attempt to learn a foreign language other than English, which I currently fluently command. And from that experience, I was convinced that everyone can learn a language, but the best results are gotten from different individual methods and approaches. • Major concepts embodied in my teaching plan are focused on the English subject, the Teaching (involving the material and means of delivering every topic), the Learning (putting into consideration the most receptive styles for students), and the atmosphere for teaching (creating the basis for smooth learning and helping students develop properties that make learning easier with techniques to boost memory reception). My classes are student-centered and are usually adjusted to fit most after a few lessons, which help determine the strengths and weaknesses of students.
