I love learning but won't sugarcoat that I think a lot of school is busy work and not applicational, especially in engineering. I want you to understand "when you would use this in the real world" as well as how to do it.

As another student, I know how busy school can be. My approach is to teach you the basics you need to get started, then let you work through problems yourself while I work on my own and stay available for questions. I won't do the work for you—I want you to actually understand it. If a topic is more confusing, I'll guide you through examples and practice problems.
I'll also help you prioritize which classes or topics need the most attention, and we'll go from there. I don't plan to stop when you're simply passing a class; my goal is to help you reach an A and, ideally, actually enjoy the subject.
I've earned an A in every high school class, could have graduated in the winter of my junior year, will graduate with 60 college credits, earned a 33 ACT composite, and have consistently scored at the advanced and highest levels on standardized tests. I don't say this to brag, but to show what I believe is possible. Only I know how much time and effort I've put into learning, and I believe that with the right focus, you can get there too. A wise (and grossly overqualified) professor once told me that learning is a function of time and effort.
