About Eva

I started teaching in 2000 (my second year at university) and I've been doing that since. My youngest pupil ever was two and a half (it is never too early!) And the eldest was older than me. Regardless of the age of the student, the lesson revolves around him / her. In recent years, I have given private lessons to children in primary and secondary education, as well as tutoring on tto courses.

About the lesson

The nicer the lesson is, the happier the student. The happier the student, the better the learning outcomes. I use methods from Cambridge and Oxford, but also my own materials. In consultation with the pupil or the parents of the pupil we can also use other methods. I always look at what the student has difficulty with, but also what he or she wants to achieve and we set the goals and the timetable together.

Eva Matei is de afgelopen 10 jaar een uitstekende tutor geweest voor onze drie kinderen.

In hun basisschooljaren gaf ze onze kinderen een uitstekende basis van de Engelse taal. Mede hierdoor konden zij op het VO tweetalig onderwijs volgen. Vooral de start verliep voor hen dan ook heel relaxed.

Eva gaf bij ons thuis les en was altijd goed voorbereid. Ze zorgde ervoor dat de lessen zowel leerzaam als leuk waren door ook creatieve lessen in te plannen. Tijdens de coronaperiode heeft Eva onze jongste zoon online lesgegeven wat prima verliep. Ze hield ons als ouders altijd goed op de hoogte van de vorderingen.

In de zomer van 2020 heeft Eva onze jongste zoon twee weken (vier dagen per week) een zomerschool gegeven in de ochtenden. De zomerschool stond in het teken van de ruimte; een onderwerp dat onze zoon interesseert. Eva had een geweldig programma gemaakt, boeken in dit thema gekocht en een dag naar Nemo Science museum georganiseerd. Het was een groot succes. De zomerschool was zo heel leerzaam, waarbij vooral spreekvaardigheid goed werd geoefend. Maar zeker niet minder belangrijk: onze zoon heeft er enorm van genoten.
