About Aidan

Hello! My name is Aidan, and I am a junior in high school from California. I am a student pilot and am working to get my private pilot's license, and I want to fly charter for my career when I'm older. I am a cellist of over 8 years, and I am a part of a Grammy Award-winning Symphony Orchestra and invitational Chamber Ensemble. I won second place in the Charleston International Music Competition in January 2025, and I was a finalist in my high school’s rotary solo competition. I am also part of my high school’s nationally ranked Model United Nations team, where we represent countries and work to solve real-world problems through public speaking and resolution writing. I am the current advertising manager of 3 clubs and the Human Resource Manager of 1, so I love communicating with people and working towards a solution that benefits all! I can’t wait to start working with you!

About the lesson

The approach I take with my students involves more of a focus on why something works rather than memorization techniques (the best way to memorize is to understand!). I also do not use a fixed method when tutoring. Rather, I adapt explanations to how each student thinks by breaking down ideas into steps and connecting them to real-world examples. Overall, my goal as a tutor is to help students learn how to think independently so they are prepared for more rigorous courses when they take higher education classes.
