I will always let them know that with practice and exposure to the language it will become easier and they will become fluent. They should also expose themselves to English songs, this way it will be more interesting and fun. And they will remember better.

I like to read good moralistic happy fun books with pictures, and then ask questions about the pictures and how they pertain to the story. To test comprehension and sentence structure, like proper punctuation. Also, testing this with writing assignments.
