About Matheus
I am a Brazilian student who did his secondary education at the Lycée Albert 1er in Monaco. There I was able to obtain my Scientific Baccalaureate, Physics specialty (American International Option) in 2017 with High Honors ("Mention Très Bien" equivalent to more than 80% score). Since then, I have been studying Mechanical Engineering at EPFL, currently in 3rd year.

I base my lessons on the student's books (school textbook studied in class) in addition to my own, studied in my course, which can be useful as references. I am basing myself on the methods that were transmitted to us at EPFL based on understanding through exercises, and the notions that can be drawn from it. During a course I typically try firstly to see with the student where there may be doubts in the understanding of the course, then move on to exercises that will allow him to better tackle this type of difficulties in the future. In my opinion a scientific problem is better approached when one incorporates the method of solving exercises, rather than only learning by heart. My experience as a tutor comes from private lessons given to 1st year EPFL students via the "Proov" application, but also from the Student Assistant position that I held for certain subjects during my university career.
